Church Meetings
Recently overheard at an Annual General Meeting: “Church should be a celebration. So should church meetings.”
It is such a blessing to be in a community where everyone comes together no matter what needs doing outside of worship—cleaning, helping in the kitchen, even meetings!
As we move from our introspective and quiet Lenten journey to the joy and celebration of Easter (and the coming of warmer weather!), I pray you will recognise the benefit of being within this community– where we truly celebrate being the family of God.
An Anglican Church conference being held alongside Provincial Synod, in Brandon, this June!
Our theme is “Walking in the Moment," inviting us to join together as we all journey to our own Emmaus experience.
There are 4 sub-themes for our journey, each of which will offer a number of unique workshops led by local experts, including:
Walking together –new and old ways of being together on the journey
We did not recognize him - finding Christ in the world in ways and places we did not expect
Our hearts burned within us - opening scripture in ways that speak to our world today
Known in the breaking of bread – new ways of telling the gospel story that resonate with people today
